What does your daily or weekly fitness regimen consist of?
During my peak training season, I am either running between four and eight miles, biking 30-50 miles, or swimming 1600-2000 meters six days a week.
What fitness clubs do you belong to, if any?
The YMCA.
Other than the obvious health benefits, how has being fit improved your life?
It makes me feel good knowing that I am living by example for my children. I love that they are growing up in an environment where physical activity is the norm.
How does personal fitness affect your work life?
Having competed in three Ironman triathlons, I know that any goal, no matter how seemingly large and unattainable, can be achieved when you break down the goal into small, manageable goals. This has transferred to my professional life with the business owners I work with. I encourage my clients to dream big, then we create a plan to execute on that vision for their company.

Yes
What health/wellness organizations do you contract with, if any?
Many of our clients own businesses that are health and wellness oriented.
How does fitness or wellness affect your overall organization?
My company’s culture is a very active one. We often relate business to sports and games to make it more fun. That’s what it is all about right?!
What advice do you have for other executives interested in starting either a personal fitness plan or corporate wellness initiative?
Choose an organized event coming up this summer…a run, a bike ride, a triathlon…and register for it now. Put it on the calendar, pay the admission fee and commit to it. Once you have made that commitment there is no going back. If I can do this, anyone can!
