Kwik Trip plans major expansion in region
Kwik Trip is not a typical convenience store. Kwik Trip stores are larger, averaging about 7,000 square feet in size, and offer fresh grocery items including meat, vegetables, fruit, bread, bakery, dairy and deli sandwiches, in addition to standard convenience store items, a car wash and fueling stations.
The stores are “halfway between a fresh market and a convenience store,” said Hans Zietlow, director of real estate for Kwik Trip. “It's more like a grocery store, a fast food restaurant and a convenience store all wrapped into one.”

Region’s strong industrial real estate market attracts national investments
The southeastern Wisconsin industrial real estate market continues to post impressive results. National investors are taking notice, and getting in on the action here.
As the U.S. economy has improved, deep pocketed foreign investors have helped to price some national investors out of primary real estate markets such as Chicago. As a result, national real estate investors are increasingly seeking assets in smaller markets, and the Milwaukee area's strong industrial market looks attractive to many of them.

Wauwatosa Office Building
Irgens plans to build a four-story, 150,000-square-foot office building on an 8.2-acre site in the Milwaukee County Research Park in Wauwatosa. The building will be anchored by Zywave Inc., which will lease about 63,500 square feet of space. The plans also include a parking structure on the north side of the building. Irgens is seeking $5 million in tax incremental financing for the project from the city of Wauwatosa. The building will be built just southwest of U.S. Highway 45 and Watertown Plank Road. Construction is expected to begin soon and be completed in the spring of 2016.
