Restaurant planned in Menomonee Valley
Milwaukee restaurateur Russ Davis, who runs the Lakefront Palm Garden, The Red Accordian, Rio West Cantina and the Hubbard Park Lodge, plans to purchase a one-acre property with a 3,900-square-foot building at 1200 W. Canal St. in Milwaukee’s Menomonee Valley for $600,000. Davis plans to open a seafood restaurant in the building on the property.
Third Ward building sold
SU Real Estate Group LP, led by Michael Polaski of SURG Restaurant Group, purchased a 119-year-old building at 216 N. Water St., Milwaukee, from Dupah LLC for $615,000.

Novozymes BioAg Inc. plans to eventually expand its facility at 3101 W. Custer Ave. on Milwaukee's north side.
Groundbreaking today for Mandel Group’s Lighthorse 4041 project
Milwaukee-based Mandel Group Inc. will hold a groundbreaking ceremony at 11 a.m. today to celebrate the start of construction of Lighthorse 4041, a mixed-use development that will be built at 4041 Oakland Ave. in Shorewood.
Southridge Macy’s store grand opening is today
A grand opening celebration is being held today at Southridge Mall in Greendale with events occuring throughout the day at the mall to celebrate the opening of the new Macy’s department store in the former Younker’s store space at the south end of the mall.
BizTimes Wisconsin Morning Headlines: Sargento expansion will add 50 jobs
Sargento Foods announced plans to expand its facility in Hilbert 30,000 square feet at a cost of $12 million. The company in a statement said the addition is needed to expand production space for its growing sauce business. The expansion is expected to create up to 50 new jobs over the next five years. Macy's officially opened its new store at Southridge Mall in Greendale today. Company spokeswoman Andrea Schwartz said, "We have wide aisles. It's very bright. We have all LED lighting. We even have sitting rooms. It makes it easy for our customers to come and take a seat and watch a little CNN while they get great fashion shows."
