Milwaukee-based Mandel Group Inc. will hold a groundbreaking ceremony at 11 a.m. today to celebrate the start of construction of Lighthorse 4041, a mixed-use development that will be built at 4041 Oakland Ave. in Shorewood.
The building will have 84 apartments, 200 public parking spaces and an 18,000-square-foot Walgreens store. Twenty percent of the apartments will be leased at below market rents for residents without household incomes less than 60 percent of the county’s median income. RE Enterprises LLC is a co-developer for the project. Pewaukee-based VJS Construction Services Inc. is the construction management firm for the project. It was designed by Engberg Anderson Design Partnership.
