Bethesda, Md.-based Walker & Dunlop Inc., a commercial real estate finance company, recently opened a Milwaukee area office in a 3,700-square-foot space at 142 E. Capitol Dr., Hartland. The company has 11 offices in the U.S.

HSI to build apartment building next to The Enclave

HSI Properties Inc. plans to build a 40-unit apartment building next to The Enclave, the two-building 152-unit apartment complex that it is building southeast of Martin Drive and North 62nd Street in Wauwatosa.

Mayfair Road building sold for $3.95 million

Sunset Investment Co. recently purchased the 30,639-square-foot building at 2525 N. Mayfair Road, Wauwatosa, from MLG/2525 Limited Partnership (a group of local investors) for $3.95 million, or about $129 per square foot.

South side Sheboygan Piggly Wiggly store to close

Piggly Wiggly Midwest LLC notified the state Department of Workforce Development this week that it plans to close the Piggly Wiggly store at 3124 S. Business Dr. in Sheboygan.

Area homes sales up 30 percent in May

More good news for the recovering housing market: home sales in the metro Milwaukee area increased by 30 percent, year-over-year in the month of May, according to the Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors (GMAR).
