United Natural Foods breaks ground on distribution facility in Sturtevant

A groundbreaking ceremony was held today to celebrate the start of construction of United Natural Foods Inc.’s new 425,000 square foot distribution and warehouse facility in Sturtevant. The facility will serve the Midwest region and is expected to create 220 new, full-time jobs.

Braun buys condo at Kilbourn Tower

Milwaukee Brewers leftfielder Ryan Braun has purchased a luxury condominium in the Kilbourn Tower building in downtown Milwaukee, according to real estate transaction records filed with the state Department of Revenue.

Apartment building planned for former Pizza Man site

Developer Robert Joseph, the owner of Joseph Property Development LLC, plans to build a four-story building with 39 market rate apartments and 6,000 square feet of retail space at the former Pizza Man restaurant site northeast of North Avenue and Oakland Avenue on Milwaukee’s East Side.

Meijer store planned for Waukesha

Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Meijer Inc. plans to build a 192,940-square-foot store and a 2,509-square-foot gas station on a 29-acre site southeast of Sunset Drive and Tenny Avenue in Waukesha.

Delta Air Lines gives up naming rights to convention center

The Wisconsin Center District is in search of a new sponsor company after Delta Air Lines announced that it will not renew its naming rights contract to the Delta Center, the downtown Milwaukee convention center located at 400 W. Wisconsin Ave.
