Menomonee Falls-based Kohl's Corp. has put an office building up for sale that it acquired just last year.

An affiliate of Plymouth Meeting, Pa.-based Exeter Property Group, a real estate investment management firm, recently purchased the 279,828-square-foot Staples Inc. distribution center in Oak Creek for $17 million, according to state records.

Pleasant Praire-based Uline, which earlier this year announced significant expansion plans in Kenosha County, also plans to occupy a large industrial building that is under construction in Pleasant Prairie.

A different real estate development group could take over a site in the Park East corridor, along the east side of the Milwaukee River in downtown Milwaukee.

Weimer Bearing & Transmission plans to build a 68,390-square-foot industrial building at Mequon Road and Eisenower Drive in Germantown. The building will be the new corporate headquarters for the company. Its headquarters are currently located at W134 N5368 Campbell Dr. in Menomonee Falls.

An affiliate of New York-based Garrison Investment Group LP, a middle market credit and asset based investor, recently purchased the 112-room TownPlace Suites hotel in Brookfield for $9.6 million, according to state records.

City of Milwaukee officials are in the early stages of planning an additional leg to the downtown streetcar route that would extend it to The Couture development that is proposed at the lakefront.

The leader of the parks advocacy group that is trying to block The Couture development on the lakefront says the group will likely remain opposed to the project, despite design changes unveiled today.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Washington County will add 7,500 square feet to its existing 4,000-square-foot building in West Bend.
