The first phase of the $45 million Mitchell International Airport baggage claim area renovation project will open to the public on Wednesday.

An affiliate of Rosemont, Ill.-based Venture One Real Estate LLC recently purchased a 248.4-acre site in Pleasant Prairie for $4.2 million, according to state records.
