Hispanic Chamber files lawsuit

The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin has filed a lawsuit in Milwaukee County Circuit Court, alleging unfair business practices established by the City of Milwaukee's Ordinance 370, which provides race-based preferences in city contracts.

Don’t hold breath for health insurance rebates

Consumers and businesses in Wisconsin will receive about $16.8 million in rebates from health insurance companies that spent more on administrative expenses and profits than allowed by the federal health care reform Affordable Care Act, according to an analysis by the Menlo, Calif.-based Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation.

Profits dip at Roundy’s Inc.

Milwaukee-based Roundy’s Inc. reported first quarter net income of $2.3 million, or 6 cents per share, down from $8.8 million, or 29 cents per share, in the same period a year ago.
