MCFI to host health care job fair
The Milwaukee Center for Independence is scheduled to host a health care job fair on Tuesday, May 12 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. to recruit candidates for a number of positions, including registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.

Concordia to begin offering doctor of physical therapy accelerated track
This fall, Concordia University Wisconsin based in Mequon will begin offering incoming freshmen a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) accelerated track for Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Science (BSRS). The university said the program is due to the increased demand over the next 10 years for physical therapists and the rising cost of education.
UWM, Milwaukee Fire Department launch paramedic training program
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee College of Nursing has launched a partnership to train fire department paramedics in community-based health care. The program will train paramedics to provide follow-up health care to frequent users of emergency medical services. Paramedics will receive training to support these patients and help change health behaviors before patients reach a crisis again.

Pet businesses taking precautions against dog flu
