Recently I was asked to review a client proposal for a consultant who works in China's sports market. I was so impressed I decided to share it with you. The names have been changed to protect the guilty, but Party X is a major world sports company, and the consultant is a former Milwaukee resident (not me).

Study validates economic impact of Miller Park

Loan closed for redevelopment of former Eaton office tower

The Northwest Side Community Development Corporation said that it has closed on a $628,750 loan to Jonco Industries, which plans to redevelop the former Eaton Corp. building at 4201 N. 27th St. in Milwaukee.

Packaging manufacturer to move Illinois operations to Pleasant Prairie

L&M Corrugated Container Corp. plans to move its Zion, Ill. operations to a 99,838-square-foot building that it plans to purchase in Pleasant Prairie.

Northern Gear to move from Franklin to Muskego

Northern Gear LLC, a manufacturer of machined parts, plans to move from Franklin to a 98,000-square-foot facility that it plans to build along Moorland Road in Muskego.

Union: Timing of Caterpillar layoffs suspicious

Peoria, Ill.-based Caterpillar Inc. announced Thursday it is planning to lay off 250 to 300 employees in South Milwaukee by June.
