Evers orders restrictions on child care facilities to slow COVID-19 spread

Gov. Tony Evers on Wednesday ordered that child care providers may have no more than 50 children and 10 staff present at a time, in an effort to slow the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

As state health officials work to increase testing capacity at public health labs, Wisconsin Department of Health Services secretary-designee Andrea Palm said she is "anxious" for more hospitals and commercial labs to conduct testing for COVID-19 throughout the state.
