CARW president leaves for Milwaukee Art Museum job

Learn more about:

Sandi Anderson recently left her job as the president of the Commercial Association of Realtors Wisconsin (CARW) to become the director of special interest and support groups for the Milwaukee Art Museum.

"It was just really a great opportunity," Anderson said of the art museum job, which is a newly created position. "It’s always hard to make those decisions. We had a lot of momentum at CARW and great people."

"It’s our loss," said CARW chairman Scott Welsh, president of Milwaukee-based Inland Companies Inc. "She did a great job for us."

Anderson oversaw the day-to-day operations of CARW since May of 2006. She replaced John Periard who, in February 2006, left CARW after four years to become the chief operating officer of the Realtor Association of Greater Miami and the Beaches. Anderson previously was strategic marketing manager at Kahler Slater Architects Inc.

Welsh said the search for Anderson’s replacement is under way, and CARW will likely name a new president within the next 30 days.

The CARW is a 500-member trade association that provides leadership and expertise to the commercial real estate industry throughout Wisconsin.
