BuySeasons to begin expansion project this week

BuySeasons Inc. announced Monday that it will begin construction this week of a 110,000-square-foot addition to its 360,000-square-foot distribution center, manufacturing facility and headquarters in New Berlin.
The addition will be added on an adjacent lot to the north of BuySeasons’ current facility at 5915 S. Moorland Road, creating a 470,000-square-foot facility. The project is expected to be complete by July.
BuySeasons operates the online Halloween costume store BuyCostumes.com and several other costume and party-related web sites. The company is partnering with Milwaukee-based WillowTree Development LLC on the expansion project.
“This is another big milestone for BuySeasons,” said Jalem Getz, chief executive officer and president of the company. “This expansion will be key in the growth of our party supply business. It will allow us to manufacture more of our party supplies on-site and will give us the ability to expand our customized party supply offerings.”
The company currently has about 320 full-time permanent employees and plans to add another 20-30 full-time positions across all functions of the business, including distribution and manufacturing. The company currently has 130 part-time employees and a large number of seasonal employees that fluctuates during the course of the year.
