Health Care

Medical anthropologist Elaine Drew has been appointed assistant professor of population health, in the division of health and society, at The Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. Jane Kivlin, who recently retired as professor of ophthalmology, has been appointed director of the office of continuing & professional education at The Medical College of Wisconsin. She will direct the College’s continuing medical education program and be responsible for maintaining its accreditation status.

Hillary Hinkson, a certified physician assistant, has joined Advanced Pain Management. Hinkson will practice at United Medical Center, and Advanced Health Care in Milwaukee and Wisconsin Health Center in Greenfield.            

Anne Hoch, director of Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin Women’s Sports Medicine program, and associate professor of orthopaedic surgery, was recently named a 2009 Champion in Women’s Health award winner by the Wisconsin Women’s Health Foundation.

Allen Cowley, Jr., Ph.D., and professor and chairman of physiology at The Medical College of Wisconsin, has been named the first James J. Smith & Catherine Welsch Smith Professor in Physiology. Dr. Cowley is also the Harry & Gertrude Hack Term Professor in Physiology.
