*Thursday, July 25, Jazz in the Park will feature live music at Milwaukee’s Cathedral Square Park, located on East Wells Street and North Jackson Street. The weekly summer music event runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a happy hour starting at 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to purchase food and beverages from area vendors. *Friday, July 26, the Waukesha County Business Alliance will present its free monthly One-on-One with Public Officials program. This month’s event will feature Secretary Reggie Newson and Scott Jansen of the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. Attendees will have a chance to sit down with Newson and Jansen over coffee and discuss ongoing issues. The program will run from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in the Jannsen Conference Room of the Waukesha County Business Alliance, 2717 N. Grandview Blvd., Ste. 300, in Waukesha. *Wednesday, July 31, Live @ The Lakefront will feature the Latin music of Los Ciegos del Barrio (meaning “The Blind Boys of the Neighborhood”). Members of the New York-based band are legally blind and are versed in meringue, bachata, salsa, cumbia, reggaeton and rock. The free weekly summer music event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the outdoor Rotary Amphitheater at Discovery World, located at 500 N. Harbor Dr. in Milwaukee. Seating is based on first come, first served. The concert takes places rain or shine with a backup location in Discover World’s indoor Promenade.
