*Thursday, June 27, Jazz in the Park will feature live music at Milwaukee’s Cathedral Square Park, located on East Wells Street and North Jackson Street. The weekly music event runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a happy hour starting at 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to purchase food and beverages from area vendors. *Thursday, June 27, “Bonfire on the Beach – Live Tunes, Sand & Sun” will feature local musicians on Milwaukee’s Bradford Beach. The free event, presented by ART Milwaukee, Do414, Gozamos Milwaukee, NEWaukee and MKEBKE, will include bonfire pits, live performances, food and beverage specials and more. The event will run from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. with appearances by musicians De La Buena, DJ Kid Millions, and Kane Place Record Club. A free shuttle will run from Distil, located at 722 N. *Wednesday, July 3, the 19th annual Fireworks Kite Festival will take place in Veterans Park in Milwaukee. The festival, free and open to the public, will feature a variety of kites flown by the Kite Society of Wisconsin and Illinois and area residents along the lakefront. The event is made possible by the society in partnership with Milwaukee County Parks and Gift of Wings. Kites will fly from 11 a.m. through 7 p.m. with the U.S. Bank Fireworks show following at about 9:25 p.m.

*Thursday, July 4, Milwaukee County Parks Fireworks will be displayed at a number of area parks including Alcott Park, Gordon Park, Humboldt Park, Jackson Park, Lake Park, Lincoln Park, Mitchell Park, Noyes Park, Washington Park and Wilson Park. Fireworks at each site will be launched by the City of Milwaukee’s Fourth of July Commission at about 9:15 p.m. For more information about park locations, visit www.city.milwaukee.gov/July4th.

*Friday, July 5, through Sunday, July 7, the Milwaukee Brewers are scheduled to play home games against the New York Mets at Miller Park, 1 Brewers Way in Milwaukee. On Friday they will take on the Mets at 7:10 p.m.; on Saturday they will play at 6:15 p.m.; and on Sunday they will play at 1:10 p.m. To purchase tickets, visit http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com.

*Friday, June 28, the Waukesha County Business Alliance will present its free monthly One-on-One with Public Officials program. This month’s event will feature State Representative Joe Sanfelippo. Attendees will have a chance to sit down with Sanfelippo over coffee and discuss ongoing issues. The program will run from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in the Jannsen Conference Room of the Waukesha County Business Alliance, 2717 N. Grandview Blvd., Ste. 300, in Waukesha.
