- Wednesday, Aug. 3 The Wisconsin Seasonal Workforce Coalition will host Milwaukee Job Fest from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Zoofari Conference Center, 10001 W. Bluemound Road in Wauwatosa. Job seekers will have the opportunity to speak with Milwaukee-area employers that have immediate hiring needs, some of which will offer on-site interviews at JobFest. Other activities offered to attendees include interactive workshops, job search contests and raffles. - Monday, August 8th. 7:00 p.m. The Next Chapter Bookshop in Mequon will host an Author Event featuring John Gruesser, PhD and his latest book “A Century of Detection.” Gruesser was born and raised in Milwaukee with post-graduate work at UW-Madison. A Century of Detection is an Anthology of 20 great mystery stories from authors such as Arthur Conan Doyle, Edgar Allen Poe, Mark Twain and others. Gruesser provides information about the authors and insight into each story. The author will speak briefly and be available for book signing and conversation. - Tuesday, Aug. 9 Summit Young Professionals, a program of the Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce will hold an educational event titled In Transition Toward Leadership? Six Steps to Guide You, at Cardinal Stritch University, 155 S. Executive Dr. Brookfield from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Aleta Norris, founder of Living as a Leader will present. Event is open to young professionals ages 21 to 35. Admission to the event is $10 for Chamber and Summit members and $20 for non-members.
