Thursday, May 19 The Fredrick Pabst Mansion will host its annual behind the scenes day from 1 to 4 p..m. as part of Wisconsin Museums Week.  The Grand Tour will take place at 1 p.m. in which every inch of the Mansion from the tallest heights of the attic to the darkest reaches of the basement will be shown to guests. The Grand Tour is traditionally only available by advance reservation, but is being offered today at a discounted price of $12 per person.

Friday, May 20 The Independent Business Association of Wisconsin will host former Lt. Gov. Margaret Farrow as the guest speaker at its next IBA breakfast meeting at the Wisconsin Club, 900 W. Wisconsin Ave. from 7 to 9 a.m. To register visit www.ibaw.com

Tuesday, May 24 The Racine County Economic Development Corporation will host its  28th Annual Anniversary Celebration at the Racine Marriott, 7111 Washington Ave., from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Governor Scott Walker and Jeff Koser, CEO of Selling to Zebras Inc will keynote a presentation, “Economic Recovery: Are You Getting Your Share?” Networking and appetizers will also be available and community awards will also be presented to: Joyce Anderson for husband, Brian Anderson; William McReynolds, former Racine County Executive; Jim Beere, president, Pioneer Products, Inc.; Burlington Veterans Memorial Building Group. Wednesday, May 25 The Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce in partnership with its Council of Small Business Executives will host it’s second annual Brewers Outing from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Gehl Club in Miller Park.
The Gehl Club is located in the Club Level at Miller Park and features modern furnishings with an indoor and outdoor bar along with 17 LCD televisions and a view of Miller Park’s field. Guests can enjoy a buffet carving station, desserts, complimentary drinks, prize drawings and will be able to network with other Chamber members and their guests before and during the game. Thursday, May 26 The Professional Women’s Development Network, a group of the Waukesha County Business Alliance, will hold its third event of 2011 on at Crowne Plaza Milwaukee-West in Wauwatosa. Sandy Botham, head coach of UW-Milwaukee Women’s Basketball, will speak about her experiences through the topic of “Creating a Vision: Achieving Success Through Your Team.” Networking and registration will begin at 7:15 followed by the program at 8 a.m. Cost to attend is $25 for Alliance members or $40 for nonmembers.
