  • Thursday, Oct. 22 Milwaukee’s 30th street industrial corridor will host a breakfast event entitled Reshaping Southeastern Wisconsin: Connecting the Corridor to the Next Generation of Jobs. The event will feature a welcome by Mayor Tom Barrett; a keynote address by Carlos Santiago, UWM chancellor and a panel discussion featuring Michael Floyd of Glenn Rieder, Inc.; Richard Meeusen, Badger Meter, Inc.; Alan Perlstein of DRS Power & Control Technologies, Inc., and Peggy Troy, Children’s Hospital and Health System Inc.   • Friday, Oct. 23 HOPE’s Fall Celebration at the Harley Davisdon Museum, 400 W. Canal St., beginning at 5:30 p.m. The organization will honor the teachers, staff members and community supporters who help more than 600 students find the drive to make it to college. Tickets for the event are $75 each and can be purchased here.
  • Monday, Oct. 26 Discovery World Museum will host Splash!, a celebration of conservation and craft brewing from 5 to 8 p.m. The event will include craft beer and cheese tastings, and dinner catered by Barolottas. Representatives from leading conservation groups, artisan cheesemakers with sustainable operations, and craft brewers will also be in attendance. Jake Leinenkugel, president of the Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Co in Chippewa Falls will be the guest speaker of the evening. Splash! is the only public portion of the Great Lakes Craft Brewers & Water Conservation Conference, which brings together water policy makers in the Great Lakes and experts in water saving systems from Bridgeport Brewing Co, New Glarus Brewing Co., Odell Brewing Co., and Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. Tickets for the event are $45 each, purchase with PayPal online.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 3 The 6th Annual Fall Benefit, A Taste for Wellness will be held at the Merrill Hills Country Club in Waukesha from 5:30 to 9 p.m. and will benefit the Mental Health Associations in Waukesha County. Guests will be able to sample an assortment of wine and gourmet food stations, desserts and coffee. The event will also included a silent auction, a raffle and live entertainment.   • Wednesday, Nov 4, The Institute for Graphics and Imaging, 800 Main St, Suite Q301, Pewaukee  presents an All-day, interactive, social media workshop. 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The event includes a copy of "The Draft," Soho’s exclusive strategy workbook, Wi-FI, Continental Breakfast, Lunch, and access to "The Strategy Room" for additional assistance in completing "The Draft." Topics include but not limited to blogging, SEO & SEM on your brand, using video to promote and position your products and services.
