Milwaukee-based Mandel Group Inc. recently held a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the start of construction of PrairieWalk at Towne Centre, a two-building, 56-unit luxury apartment development at the mixed-use Sendik’s Towne Centre, located southwest of Capitol Drive and Brookfield Road in Brookfield.
The first residents are expected to move in next July. “PrairieWalk is a further example of our strategy for high-value apartment development in suburban settings,” said Robert Monnat, chief operating officer of Mandel Group. “Like our developments in Shorewood and Whitefish Bay, PrairieWalk in Brookfield gives our future residents the opportunity to leave their car in the garage and walk to a great grocery, restaurants, shops and services.” The architect for the project is the Palatine, Ill. office of BSB Design and the construction firm is Brookfield-based Altius Building Co.
