Brewers invite fans to ‘Go Gold’

The Milwaukee Brewers are asking fans to join them as Miller Park will “Go Gold” on Saturday, Sept. 10. 
For that game, the team is encouraging fans to break out their Brewers gold gear to wear to Miller Park, and to cap it off, Brewers players will wear special gold jerseys on the field when they take on the Philadelphia Phillies.
“The fans’ support has been a huge boost in building the best home record in baseball, and we’re looking to ramp it up even more for the Sept. 10 game as we all ‘Go Gold,'” said Brewers chief operating officer Rick Schlesinger. “We’re hoping everyone will join us as we create a sea of gold both on and off the field that day.”
For those fans looking to update their Brewers gold gear, the Brewers Team Store by Majestic will release a new line of Brewers Gold gear during a special shopping opportunity on Tuesday, Sept. 6.  The store will open at 6 a.m. that day and will feature a wide array of new gold apparel, including the following: several popular “name and number” player T-shirts and a special Nyjer Morgan shirt featuring his popular signoff “Ahhhh…Gotta Go!”
On September 10, Brewers employees will be roaming the Miller Park concourses to reward fans for wearing gold.  Select fans will receive prizes including ticket vouchers to a 2012 game, autographed baseballs and Brewers merchandise.
