The Milwaukee Brewers have announced details for an opportunity for fans to purchase post season single game tickets. Starting Wednesday, Sept. 7, fans will have an opportunity to register for the right to purchase tickets to potential individual 2011 post season games held at Miller Park.
According to Brewers chief operating officer, available tickets will be limited.
"In 2008, we had over 220,000 fans register for a similar opportunity and we were only able to accommodate fewer than 5,000 of them," said Rick Schlesinger, Brewers chief operating officer. "The simple reality is that the demand for tickets far outpaces the supply."
Registration will begin at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7 and will close at 12 p.m. on Wednesday Sept. 21.
The Brewers will conduct a random selection of winners from the pool of registrants for each of the three post season series.
Season ticket holders are guaranteed the right to purchase post season tickets, but payment and order forms are due on Tuesday, Sept. 6.
Fans interested in purchasing either season tickets or a 20-game plan for the 2012 season will have the opportunity to purchase post season tickets for 2011. Those fans interested in purchasing season tickets for 2012 will be given the option to purchase all 2011 post season games at Miller Park including the World Series.
Fans interested in either one of these two options can visit brewers.com or call 414-902-HITS. Registration can be done at www.brewers.com and click on the post season ticket opportunity link.
