Bradshaw Medical Inc., a manufacturer of orthopedic and spinal surgical instruments, plans to build a new 60,000-square-foot headquarters building at 104th Avenue and 58th Place in Kenosha. The facility will replace the company’s current 15,000-square-foot headquarters at 5732 95th Ave., Kenosha. The site of the new facility is about one mile west of the company’s current headquarters.
The company, which has 75 employees, is growing and needs more space, said marketing coordinator Rebecca Lyyski.
"Despite current U.S. economic conditions, BMI remains on track for another substantial growth year in the industry," said chairman Guy Bradshaw. "Additional capital equipment is planned and will be in operation by the end of the fourth quarter to better support our growing customer demands. Key personnel in engineering and manufacturing will also be brought on board to the BMI team as required. We’re optimistic that the economy will continue to improve heading into 2010 and we’re positioning ourselves to take full advantage of that to better serve our existing OEM customer base while developing key new relationships and strategic alliances where it makes sense for the business."
The company will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the new facility on Sept. 22. Construction is expected to be complete by June.
