Boys & Girls Clubs make final call for toy donations

Organizations:

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee are making a final push to collect toy donations for Boys & Girls Clubs members through the “Click for Kids” online toy drive.

The holiday toy drive, which wraps up on Monday, Dec. 23, allows interested donors to purchase toys and gift cards through a convenient online catalog, accessible at www.boysgirlsclubs.org.

Last year’s online toy drive collected more than 5,500 gifts for area club members, and the nonprofit organization hopes to see the same results this year.

Donations benefit Boys & Girls Clubs members who are ages four to 18. Many recipients are part of low-income households that may not be able to afford gifts for the holiday season.

“For a lot of the children and teens we serve, their families are challenged to just make ends meet,” said Jacqueline Zeledon, communications manager for the nonprofit. “And we like to do what we can to meet our club members’ needs, and we want them to be able to have happy memories of celebrating the season with us and with their family.”

Boys & Girls Clubs members are receiving their gifts at holiday parties hosted by the nonprofit organization’s branches throughout greater Milwaukee.

Cullen and Sons, Johnson Bank, Kforce, Laughlin Constable, MGIC, Miron Construction, RCS Innovation, Steinhafels, and Wipfli.
