Boehm-Madisen Lumber buys former Sanborn Tube building

Boehm-Madisen Lumber Co., a wholesale stocking distributor of hardwood lumber and forest products, purchased the former Sanborn Tube Sales of Wisconsin Inc. building at 21475 N. Doral Road in the Town of Brookfield for $960,000.

The deal closed Tuesday. Curt Pitzen of NAI MLG Commercial represented Boehm-Madisen Lumber and Jon Packee of NAI MLG Commercial represented Sanborn Tube in brokering the deal.

Boehm-Madisen currently has three locations: its headquartes at N16 W22100 Jericho Dr. in the City of Pewaukee, a facility at 1263 Hickory St. in Pewaukee and a facility on Sommers Drive in Brookfield, Pitzen said.

The company uses the Sommers Drive facility, which it leases, for inventory storage, said treasurer Thomas Kestly Sr. That will be moved to the former Sanborn Tube building, which is much closer to the company’s headquarters, he said.

“It’s a good acquistion for us,” Kestly said.

Sanborn Tube, a manufactuer’s representative and distributor of tubing, bar stock, aluminum extrusions and custom fabricated parts, needed more space and moved out of the building in December to a new 72,000-square-foot building at N28 W24402 Watertown Road in Pewaukee. The company is occupying about 50,000 square feet of the building.
