Home sales in the four-county metro Milwaukee area increased 5.3% in August, year-over-year, to 2,342. Wisconsin’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in August was 6.2% down from 7.1% in July but up from 3.4% a year ago. The Milwaukee-area manufacturing index was 51.37 in August.
