What was the smartest thing your company did in the past year?

“As we’ve continued to grow, we’ve made it a priority to concurrently develop internal systems and processes. It’s important to us that we do things correctly, both internally and for our customers. We are focused on strategic, controlled growth.”

What’s new at Exhibit Systems?

“We rebranded our company to better reflect who we are and how we serve our clients. Our new tagline – Consult, Create, Connect – completely describes our approach. On a practical level, this rebranding includes a new logo, color scheme and an updated website.”

Do you plan to hire any additional staff or make any significant capital investments in your company in the next year?

“We moved to Brookfield in early 2013, which increased our capacity, and we are continuing a capital investment in our custom wood fabrication capabilities. We recently added two employees to our team and will continue hiring for select positions throughout 2014.”

What will be your company’s main challenges in the next year?

“Our main challenge excites us: finding those firms who need our help. Why? Because we want to continue our strong growth. It’s a challenge to maintain that but a good challenge that we definitely enjoy.”

Why is Brookfield the right home base for Exhibit Systems?

“From a logistical standpoint, our new location in Brookfield in the Burleigh Corridor off Highway 45 can’t be beat. This area is changing rapidly, and it’s a great environment to showcase our new facility and our new brand. The city of Brookfield and Waukesha County are also pro-business. We’ve received a warm welcome and support as a relocated business.”

Do you have a business mantra?

“While we stand behind our exhibits and displays and strive for great customer service, it’s really about building relationships with our customers. We see ourselves as their true partners, and we take care of them. It’s what we’re known for, and it’s why our customers are so loyal and give us referrals, which helps our company grow.”

From a business standpoint, who do you look up to?

“Author Michael Gerber, who wrote ‘The E-Myth Revisited.'”

What was the best advice you ever received?

“I didn’t receive it personally, but we live Jim Collins’ message here at Exhibit Systems: If we get the right people in the right seats on the bus, and all going in the right direction, then we’ll figure out how to go from a good to a great company.”

What do you like to do in your free time?

“I like to spend time with my family, especially in Door County, as well as volunteer at St. Dominic Catholic Parish and in other Catholic activities, and watch sports.”
