BizTimes Media LLC and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Wisconsin have announced a new strategic partnership.
With the collaboration, members of the Hispanic Chamber will be invited to participate in the live events and the awards programs provided by BizTimes throughout the calendar year. The events and awards programs provided by the Hispanic Chamber will be highlighted in the editorial content generated by BizTimes.
BizTimes Media publishes the national award-winning BizTimes Milwaukee magazine and www.biztimes.com, as well as the BizTimes Daily e-newsletter, the BizTimes Morning Headlines e-newsletter and several vertical weekly e-newsletters that cover specific industries, including manufacturing, banking and finance, real estate, health care, people and networking and the nonprofit industry.
Members of the Hispanic Chamber are invited to nominate their companies and their executives for the BizTimes Bravo! Entrepreneur and I.Q. (Innovation Quotient) Awards (www.biztimes.com/bravo).
The members of the Hispanic Chamber also are invited to attend the BizExpo on May 21 at Potawatomi Bingo Casino (www.biztimes.com/bizexpo).
The new partnership was jointly announced on Wednesday by BizTimes publisher Dan Meyer and Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Wisconsin chief executive officer Jorge Franco.
The partnership was unveiled at the Hispanic Chamber’s monthly membership meeting at the United Community Center in Milwaukee.
The partners also announced a joint community journalism project in which journalism students at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and BizTimes Media will conduct a groundbreaking survey of Hispanic Chamber members. The survey will document how the members’ companies are faring economically and explore their views on various issues of the day affecting Latino executives. The students will be overseen in the project by their instructor, BizTimes executive editor Steve Jagler. The results of the survey will be published for the community by BizTimes.
