Froedtert Hospital
Froedtert Hospital, Wauwatosa, earned recognition as the most-preferred hospital in southeastern Wisconsin, by winning the National Research Corporation’s 2009 Consumer Choice Award for the seventh time in eight years. The award recognizes hospitals across the United States that patients consider to have the highest quality care and reputation. Froedtert was one of just four hospitals in Wisconsin to make the list, achieving top ranking for best overall quality, best doctors, best nurses and best image and reputation. The organizations selected for the Consumer Choice Awards are chosen by people who live in the communities the hospitals serve. To determine the winners, NRC conducts an annual Healthcare Market Guide survey of more than 450,000 consumers throughout the United States. Nationwide, 3,200 hospitals were named by consumers who participated in the survey.
Quad/Graphics
Sussex-based Quad/Graphics Inc. received its fourth consecutive Environmental Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency SmartWay Transport Partnership for its leadership in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution from its freight operations. Quad/Graphics is one of 37 companies and organizations – and the only commercial printer – from among the partnership’s more than 2,100 participants to receive this year’s Environmental Excellence Award. The printer is one of four carriers and shippers to earn the award four consecutive years. Quad/Graphics also won in 2006, 2007 and 2008 for the environmental achievements of its freight subsidiary Duplainville Transport, which operates a fleet of semi-trailer trucks.
Padgett Business Services
Mequon residents Stephen and Jennifer Rayl recently opened a franchise of Padgett Business Services, which hopes to provide small businesses in the area with services including financial reporting, payroll, and tax consulting. The Rayls’ Padgett office offers a personalized monthly profit and loss statement, payroll processing, on-going tax planning and business consulting as well as pick-up and delivery service. In addition, Padgett offers preparation services for individual, partnership, and corporate income tax returns.
Pinnacle XL
SOCONCIL, a new construction and building contractor in Angola, Africa, has partnered with Milwaukee-based Pinnacle XL to help introduce their company into the marketplace. Pinnacle XL provided SOCONCIL with consultation services, and the development of a corporate brand. Through their integrated marketing strategies, Pinnacle XL helps companies grow by identifying issues hindering clients’ growth, developing viable solutions that blend stakeholders’ visions, corporate culture and external expertise.
Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-Elmbrook Memorial
Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – Elmbrook Memorial Hospital received 5-Star ratings and top regional and national rankings for clinical quality from HealthGrades, an independent health care ratings organization. The recognition is based on HealthGrades’ 12th annual Hospital Quality in America study which analyzes patient outcomes at virtually all of the nation’s hospitals. In the 2010 HealthGrades study, Elmbrook Memorial ranks best in the Milwaukee-Waukesha-West Allis region for overall orthopedic services, joint replacement surgery and general surgery. The hospital ranks in the top five percent nationally for general surgery and has received the 2010 HealthGrades General Surgery Excellence Award.
