Field service management software vendor Metrix of Waukesha recently announced that the company’s solution was highlighted in a recent AMR Research report, ” Field Service Landscape.” The report analyzed 15 field service software suites for overall functionality and usability. According to the research study, “Metrix has all of the major pieces needed in a field service suite. Built on NET 3.5, Metrix has one of the most modern user interfaces.” The report also indicated that Metrix has “advanced functionality” in the areas of contract management, scheduling, depot repair and contracts/entitlements. Metrix’s field service software allows companies to accelerate service delivery, reduce inventory costs, increase contract revenues, maximize warranty recovery, and decrease repair times.
J.H. Findorff & Son
J.H. Findorff & Son of Milwaukee and Madison was recently awarded Safety Excellence for 2008 by The Associated General Contractors of Wisconsin. Findorff fulfilled the criteria of at least 4,000 work hours, had no fatalities and had a low lost time incident rate. Safety Director Sonny Femal joined 16 employees in receiving the award at the 31st Annual Construction Safety and Education Day. Findorff currently employs an average of 600 construction professionals and trades people, and completes over $300 million in construction annually.
Milwaukee School of Engineering
MSOE recently received a grant of $250,000 from The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation Inc. to renovate and upgrade its general and organic chemistry laboratories in the physics and chemistry department. The grant from The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation Inc. will benefit nearly all of MSOE’s students, as chemistry and physics are required courses in most majors. Those studying biomedical engineering, biomolecular engineering, nursing, perfusion and medical informatics rely on laboratories that facilitate the highest level of teaching and learning.

Milwaukee-based Davis & Kuelthau recently won three awards at the 2008 Legal Marketing Association’s (LMA) Your Honor Awards Program, sponsored by the Wall Street Journal. Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin
The Kiwanis Club of Milwaukee recently announced that Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin has received its 2009 Hall of Fame Award. The Kiwanis Hall of Fame Award recognizes an organization that clearly demonstrates its commitment to the long-term betterment of the Milwaukee community, enhancing the lives of its citizens, visitors and guests. Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin was chosen based on its service and dedication to the Greater Milwaukee community.
Susan G. Komen For the Cure
Thirteen community partners were recently awarded more than $909,000 in grants from the Milwaukee affiliate of Susan G. Komen For the Cure. The grants will provide access to breast health screening and education. These programs reach residents of Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, Kenosha, Ozaukee, Washington, Jefferson and Walworth counties. Komen’s community partners include: Aurora Sinai Medical Center, Columbia St. Mary’s Foundation, Community Memorial Foundation – Community Outreach Clinic, Milwaukee Catholic Home, Milwaukee Health Services, Milwaukee Lesbian, Gay Bisexual & Transgender Community Center, ProHealth Care – Oconomowoc and Waukesha Memorial Hospital, Southeastern Regional Breast Care Fund, UW – Milwaukee College of Nursing, Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints Foundation, Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – Elmbrook Memorial Foundation, Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – Foundation for St. Francis, and Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – St. Joseph Foundation.
Triad Construction Corporation
Triad Construction Inc., West Allis, was recently presented with the ACUITY Safety Award for businesses that ensure a safe workplace for their employees. Evaluations for safety are not made on incidence rates, but on the frequency and severity of accidents compared within the construction industry. The plaque was presented to Triad Construction Executive vice president Mike Long, and Triad President Werner Holentunder by ACUITY senior loss control representative Andy Hughes.
