Waukesha County

The Waukesha County Department of Parks and Land Use Recycling Program has received both the 2015 Recycling Excellence Award for Innovation and the 2015 Recycling Excellence Award Honorable Mention for Projects and Initiatives from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.

The DNR noted Waukesha’s recent partnership with the City of Milwaukee to construct and operate a regional single sort Materials Recovery facility in Milwaukee’s Menomonee Valley.
