Wisconsin State Fair Park
Officials at Wisconsin State Fair Park have selected STIR Advertising and Integrated Marketing, Milwaukee, as its new advertising agency-of-record for 2010. Following an RFP process, which included advertising and marketing agencies throughout the state of Wisconsin, STIR was chosen by a panel that scored several submitted written proposals as well as oral presentations by the top three finalists.
In 2009, Wisconsin State Fair staff developed the print and out-of-home creative that was the foundation for the advertising campaign. The significant dollars previously allocated to creative production were shifted and utilized to extend the Fair’s budget for media placements. Development of print and out-of-home creative will continue to be handled internally, while STIR will focus on the creative production of television, radio and online advertising as well as development and execution of the media plan. STIR will replace Boelter + Lincoln, which served as the agency-of-record for Wisconsin State Fair for five years beginning in 2005.
Celtic Inc.
Brookfield-based Celtic Inc. has been hired by Milwaukee Irish Festivals, Inc., Wauwatosa, to take on marketing, advertising and public relations responsibilities for Milwaukee Irish Fest, which claims to be the world’s largest celebration of Irish music and culture. The agency is charged with developing an integrated marketing communications program to build awareness for the festival, while driving overall attendance. In addition, Celtic will work closely with Milwaukee Irish Festivals Inc. to support its foundation and other year-round initiatives, including the Irish Fest School of Music, Irish Fest Summer School, Ward Irish Music Archives and various other events.
