Waukesha County Technical College
Waukesha County Technical College’s Center for Business Performance Solutions (formerly Corporate & Community Training) has been awarded a contract with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to train its employees in Lean Six Sigma.

The DNR is conducting a pilot strategy to improve its processes through the application of Lean Six Sigma tools. The first phase of the pilot will be to have employees direct and manage one improvement project from each of the department’s six divisions. The training and consultation for more than 20 employees will take place beginning in February through early August.

The three Six Sigma master black belts on staff at CBPS were the lead developers of the Lean Six Sigma Certification curriculum that is used statewide by the Wisconsin Technical College System. Currently each staff member teaches adult learners full time through customized contract training programs delivered onsite for business clients, public workshops offered to diverse adult audiences at the center’s training center, and a quality management associate degree program.

The site has millions of engaged or newlywed members—who call themselves “Knotties”–who share ideas and rate services for other members. It was the high ratings from the site’s members that put Zilli Hospitality Group on the Best of Weddings 2012 list.
