Biblo is new chief medical officer at Froedtert

Lee Biblo, M.D., a cardiologist at Froedtert Hospital, professor of medicine and associate dean for clinical affairs at the Medical College of Wisconsin, has been appointed chief medical officer of Froedtert Hospital.

Biblo will continue to serve as the chief medical officer for the Medical College Physicians, a role he has held since 2009.  Medical College Physicians is the adult component of the Medical College’s group practice, which provides adult care in virtually every specialty of medicine at Froedtert Hospital and at Froedtert & the Medical College Clinics.
In his expanded role as chief medical officer for Froedtert Hospital, Biblo will oversee the Froedtert Hospital medical staff structure, hospital activities in clinical research, and quality and resource management at outpatient and inpatient facilities at Froedtert Hospital.
“I’ve been privileged to work with Dr Biblo for 10 years and I’m pleased and deeply grateful that he has accepted the role of chief medical officer at Froedtert Hospital,” said Cathy Buck, president of Froedtert Hospital. “He has been an outstanding partner and an invaluable asset to our patients and staff. He is relentlessly focused on what’s best for patients, and is a driving force in evidence-based medicine, quality and process improvement efforts at Froedtert Hospital. Dr Biblo and I have worked side by side to align nurse leaders and physicians around quality and outcomes initiatives, and I look forward to continuing our strong and productive relationship in the coming years.”
