Pests strike can strike anywhere, according to Jerry Batzner, president of Batzner Pest Management Inc, but not just any pest management service can provide the care to remove those pests that Batzner does.
“Anyone can call a pest management company and they’ll expect that the pests will be gone when they leave,” he said. “If they call us, they’ll get the industry-setter in standards because of our value-added services.”
One value-added service is the company’s commitment to green methods of pest management. Batzner is certified in two areas of green and about 70 percent of their jobs are environmentally sound.
Batzner also revolutionized environmentally responsibly pest management by creating their trademarked B.A.N. (Balanced As Nature) System. The method is often referred to as “holistic” and offers year-round protection from pests. The process focuses on eliminating insects or rodents from the outside rather than inside to reduce the risk to human health, often by making simple changes such as trimming certain plants or trees. The system is often used in conjunction with LEED certified buildings.
Batzner is also involved within the Waukesha community. In addition to charitable donations, Batzner employees work to educate all ages on pest management from programs with Boy and Girl Scouts and libraries to adult education groups.
Batzner says those contributions to the community and the company’s environmentally friendly practices set them apart from others in the pest management industry, and their employees add the final distinction.
“We hire the people who take their jobs to heart and are committed to delivering a higher level of service,” he said.
