Atmosphere Engineering Co., an industrial flow measurement system manufacturer, is moving its headquarters from Greenfield to a much larger building in Milwaukee.
The company is currently designing, engineering and manufacturing systems to monitor and control gas output during the heat treating process in a 4,000-square-foot building at 4343 S. 27th St. in Greenfield. By the end of November, it will move to a 12,000-square-foot building at 419 W. Boden Court in Milwaukee, said Jason Jossart, president and founder.
Atmosphere purchased the building from CBM Holdings for $535,000. It formerly housed Printing and Business Solutions, which closed about three months ago, said Jim Young, senior vice president at Cassidy Turley Barry in Milwaukee, who represented the seller.
Atmosphere expects 52 percent growth in 2012. The company has 11 employees, with plans to add more as it grows.
“We’re growing at a phenomenal clip right now,” Jossart said. “For the past two years, we’ve simply grown at a rate that this building can’t support right now.”
Much of Atmosphere’s growth can be attributed to increased exports. When companies build heat treating facilities in China, India and Brazil, they are coming to Atmosphere for the latest technology to monitor and control the gas output at the plant, he said.
“What we find is our customers are wanting newer technology in their heat treating facilities,” Jossart said. “Not only is it selling to the U.S., we have a larger market now.”
