The Association of Fundraising Professionals Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter is seeking nominations for its 2014 National Philanthropy Day Awards, which recognize individuals and groups playing an active role in philanthropic efforts throughout the region.
Nominations, which are due by June 30, will be accepted from both AFP members and members of the general public.
National Philanthropy Day Awards include:
*The Todd Wehr Volunteer Award, which recognizes an individual for driving major fundraising initiatives in southeastern Wisconsin. The award commemorates the late C. Frederic (Todd) Wehr, a Milwaukee industrialist renowned for his philanthropy and volunteerism.
*The Evan P. Helfaer Donor Award, which celebrates the work of individuals or groups who have shared significant resources with charitable organizations. The award is named for the late Evan P. Helfaer, a Milwaukee native remembered for his corporate and philanthropic leadership.
*The Leave a Legacy Award, which honors individuals who have made a difference in their community through a planned gift.
*The Wisconsin Organization Philanthropy Award, which highlights a corporation, foundation or organization with an exceptional record of philanthropic leadership and innovation.
*The Philanthropic Youth of Today Award, which recognizes area youth who have demonstrated philanthropic leadership in southeastern Wisconsin through service and creativity.
*The Scott M. Cutlip Professional Fundraiser Award, which honors individuals who devote their careers to fundraising and development. The award commemorates Scott M. Cutlip, who had a significant influence on the evolution of fundraising as a career.

National Philanthropy Day Award winners will be honored at the 36th annual awards luncheon on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the Pfister Hotel.
