A developer is pushing to build two residential towers on the former site of Children’s Memorial Hospital in Lincoln Park, risking opposition from people opposed to new high-rises, a community leader said Monday night.
David Chernoff said the developer, McCaffery Interests Inc., has begun showing plans to influential groups in the area. McCaffery a year ago won a bidding process for the rights to the six-acre property in the heart of one Chicago’s wealthiest areas.
