Sojourner Family Peace Center will offer limited edition Mother’s Day Cards for those wishing to honor mom with a $25 donation to the center.
The personalized cards will feature original artwork from artist Susan Tolonen.
Tolonen’s mother passed away two years ago. She has produced the drawing in her honor.
“This drawing is dedicated to the loving memory of my mother, Marian, who passed away on May 15th 2010 only a few days after Mother’s Day,” Tolonen said. “From my grief this artwork blossomed, to show my love for her.”
The card will include information about the donation made in each woman’s name, as well as a personal greeting. Proceeds support Sojourner Family Peace Center’s many programs to eliminate domestic violence in the Milwaukee area.
“This is a special way of recognizing the women we hold dear to us – mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and teachers,” said Angela Mancuso, co-executive director of Sojourner Family Peace Center. “Susan’s kindness is inspiring and honors the women Sojourner Family Peace Center serves.”
