Tazinos Inc., a St. Francis-based pizza chain, announced plans to open additional restaurants in downtown Milwaukee and Germantown.
The company has agreed to terms on a multi-year lease with Compass Properties at Noel Group . The expansion plan will see Tazinos open its next restaurant in the CityCenter at 735 building (735 N. Water St.) in downtown Milwaukee by Summer 2012. The plan also includes a restaurant location to be opened in Germantown in late 2012.
“Tazinos is finally coming to downtown Milwaukee,” said Jim Purcell, Tazinos president and chief executive officer. “There has been significant interest in introducing our brand to the downtown community, and we are extremely pleased to be bringing it to such a prominent and historic venue as the CityCenter building.”
The new Tazinos Pizza & Salad Bistro downtown restaurant will occupy approximately 4,000 square feet in the CityCenter at 735 building’s street level. The restaurant will accommodate indoor seating plus seasonal outdoor seating along the Milwaukee Riverwalk. Approximately twenty-five new jobs are being created with the opening of the downtown Tazinos.
Tazinos’ ability to expand is made possible through the company’s common stock sale pursuant to the Wisconsin Issuer Exemption by Filing, which provides an exemption from registration under the Wisconsin Securities Act. Shares are being offered at a price of $1 per share. Tazinos has limited shares remaining through this offer.
“Adding two new locations (including downtown) gives us confidence that even more people will want to be a part of the growth of our exciting and emerging brand as we accelerate the implementation of our business plan,” said Mike Lafferty, Tazinos vice president of business development.
