*Thursday, Aug. 7, the Milwaukee Art Museum will grant free admission to family and individual visitors, thanks to the support of Target. Free admission is awarded on the first Thursday of each month with help from Target. Groups are not eligible for the promotion. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is located at 700 N. *Thursday, Aug. 7, Jazz in the Park will showcase the lively rhythms of Wicked Knee. The music will run from 6 to 9 p.m. with a Happy Hour starting at 5 p.m. Jazz in the Park, presented by Boston Store and Columbia St. Mary’s, is held each Thursday in Cathedral Square Park in downtown Milwaukee through Sept. 4. The summer concerts, which draw musicians from across the region and country, are free and open to the public and also feature food and beverage vendors onsite. *Thursday, Aug. 7, through Sunday, Aug. 10, the Wisconsin State Fair, presented by U.S. Cellular, will complete its final stretch. Remaining fair highlights include the Summerland Tour of alternative rock bands Everclear, Soul Asylum, Eve 6 and Spacehog on Thursday; Patrick Cudahy Day with chef demonstrations, food samples and entertainment on Friday; and a performance by Lady Antebellum with Kristian Bush of Sugarland on Saturday. The fair runs from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday, 8 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets cost $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and $6 for kids. *Thursday, Aug. 14, the Waukesha County Business Alliance will hold a “Networking After 5” event at Pro Health Care Waukesha’s Memorial Hospital, located at 725 American Avenue in Waukesha. “Networking After 5” gatherings, typically held every other month, give Waukesha County businesses and professionals an opportunity to get to know one another, learn about each other’s offerings, exchange referrals and explore potential partnerships. *Wednesday, Aug. 20, Women’s FOCUS, Inc.’s meeting will feature speaker Dr. Terry Ziegler, a chiropractor and partner with the Grafton Chiropractic Center. The August program covers the theme “The Anti-inflammatory Lifestyle” and will largely focus on “busting myths” while exploring aspects of health and nutrition, according to Women’s FOCUS. Ziegler has more than 30 years of experience in the chiropractic discipline of medicine. The program, which is open to both Women’s FOCUS members and guests, will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Ozaukee Country Club, located at 10823 N. River Road in Mequon. Cost is $22. *Wednesday, Aug. 20, the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce will hold a free orientation to educate new members, long-time members and prospective members about the scope of its offerings. The orientation will give attendees a chance to learn about the specific benefits of MMAC membership and will also give them an opportunity to network with other area business professionals. The orientation will run from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the MMAC’s offices, located at 756 N. Milwaukee Street, fourth floor, in downtown Milwaukee.
