Verizon Wireless has expanded 4G LTE cell phone coverage at Henry Maier Festival Park for this year’s Summerfest attendees.
The company added a Distributed Antenna System on the grounds to create more capacity during peak usage of the wireless network. It will translate to faster uploading of photos and videos to social media, and more ease of communication in Summerfest.
Verizon will also have a Cell on Light Truck at Summerfest to assist with LTE service on the grounds and in the western parking areas. The COLT is used to enhance wireless capacity in an area, which will bring clearer calls and fewer dropped calls.

Verizon also has DAS technology at Miller Park and Camp Randall in Madison.
