The drama in the Milwaukee Bucks’ front office continued tonight when the team confirmed that it has relieved head coach Larry Drew of his duties, but the Bucks made no mention about whom his successor will be.

Bucks general manager John Hammond issued the following statement: “Despite the challenging season, Larry always handled himself and represented the Bucks in a first-class manner. Larry did the best he could in a difficult situation, especially given all of our injuries. I want to thank Larry for all of his efforts, and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.”

Drew was named the 13th head coach in Bucks history on June 3, 2013.

The Bucks’ announcement gave no commentary about published reports that the team has hired or is hiring former Brooklyn Nets head coach Jason Kidd to be the 14th coach in team history. The announcement also did not provide any clarity about Hammond’s future.
