What does your daily or weekly fitness regimen consist of?

I work out at the local Y two to five times a week.  When the weather is nice I also either bike or walk on the weekends with my wife. 

What fitness clubs do you belong to, if any?

YMCA at Pabst Farms

Other than the obvious health benefits, how has being fit improved your life?

I seem to have more energy for the rest of the day.  Since we get up at about 4 A.M., the day gets a little long on those days.  🙂 

How does personal fitness affect your work life?

The same as above, I think that I have more energy, my mind works better, and I am interested in helping to make sure that all our staff and the people we care for maintain a better, healthy lifestyle as well. 

Do you have a corporate health or wellness initiative?

Yes

What health/wellness organizations do you contract with, if any?

We are working through ProHealth in our community to do health assessments for our staff. We hope that through this kind of initiative we can help our staff improve their general health.  This not only helps them personally at home, but also here at work.  It also will not hurt our experience in health claims. 

How does fitness or wellness affect your overall organization?

As above.

What advice do you have for other executives interested in starting either a personal fitness plan or corporate wellness initiative?

Try it, you’ll like it.
