Last year, the company increased business by 5 percent, added an additional 131 employees and has grown the innovative concept of a 2-in-1 facility. Many senior living communities are either independent or assisted living, not both. At Capri Communities a resident can remain in one location despite the potential need of additional care later on.

The company has 1,044 housing units of independent and assisted living residences in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Germantown, Whitewater, West Allis, Sturtevant and Kenosha which allows residents to remain in their own neighborhoods and near family and friends.

Capri Communities retains a 95 percent occupancy rate due to the high retention rate of its residents and the care they receive. Employees at Capri Communities work to make a difference in the lives of each resident and make them feel at home.

The employees are fundamentally responsible for Capri Communities’ success in that they are responsive, friendly, take initiative, exercise integrity and are active in their communities, said Jennifer Kessel, director of operations.

Location and style of living allow residents to choose where they want to live and in what type of housing to fit their needs while lifestyle and social activities promote health, wellness and independence. Residents can live in communities as large as 150 units or as small as 50 units depending on the environment they like best. Varying floor plans and different amenities are also essential in providing residents with options to meet their needs.

An on-site bank, beauty salon, fitness center, general store, and library allow seniors to maintain their independence while insuring access to management services for truly hassle-free living.

To improve the quality of life at Capri Communities, assisted living units are being incorporated within an independent living environment in the event a resident needs more care. A resident can get that additional assistance they need without being uprooted to a new location which can cause detrimental effects to both their physical and mental health.
