Tall and narrow or short and wide? That’s the question a Rosemont developer faces over a proposed apartment high-rise between Halsted Street and the Kennedy Expressway in Greektown.
White Oak Realty Partners LLC presented its plan for the $100 million project at 765 W. Adams St. at a community meeting Wednesday night hosted by Ald. Walter Burnett Jr., whose ward includes the property. If approved, the 33-story, 351-unit tower would be the second-tallest building in the neighborhood, drawing criticism from some community members who say the development would overshadow the surrounding area.
