Wausau Insurance has expanded its online offerings to include property and liability insurance.
The new packages are available at ewausau.com, the small business web site of Wausau Insurance.
The company said that its Business Owner’s Policy (BOP) can be purchased quickly and easily through an online process. Once the type of business has been identified, the applicant can choose standard coverages for that business type or opt to customize coverages.
The customer gets a quote within one business day and can bind the coverage immediately via credit card or other method of payment.
"Purchasing small business insurance coverage has never been easier," said Ray Hall, Wausau’s senior vice president for emerging markets. "In today’s market, the name of the game is providing quick, convenient access to insurance products and services."
In addition to the fully-automated Web site, Wausau offers a 1-800 customer service call center staffed by agents licensed in all 50 states.
Earlier this year, Wausau became one of the first insurers to sell Worker’s Compensation insurance direct to the consumer over the Internet via ewausau.com. With upcoming refinements, the Worker,s Compensation application process will resemble the ease of the BOP process, the company said.
Wausau Insurance been a member of the Boston-based Liberty Mutual Group since Jan. 1, 1999.
