Time Warner Cable will become the naming rights sponsor of the Uihlein Soccer Park, 7101 W Good Hope Road in Milwaukee. The field is home to the Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club.
“We are pleased to be a part of this tremendous project that will benefit athletes of all ages and abilities in the greater Milwaukee area,” said Marci Pelzer, vice president of communications at Time Warner Cable. “This is a perfect fit for Time Warner Cable because we have a long-time commitment to spotlighting local athletes on our channels Wisconsin on Demand 411 and Sports32. We look forward to featuring exciting sports action from the Stadium.”
Construction is underway to install synthetic turf field at the park.
The state-of-the-art field is provided by FieldTurf, a synthetic field turf provider to professional teams and facilities across the globe.
The project was made possible due in part to a new partnership between the Milwaukee Kickers, Uihlein Soccer Park, and Time Warner Cable. The field will be called the Time Warner Cable Stadium.
“Time Warner Cable Stadium will ensure Uihlein Soccer Park continues to offer Milwaukee area youth and adults a premier soccer facility right in their backyard,” said Alvaro Garcia-Velez, executive director of the Kickers and the park. “We are thrilled to have the support of Time Warner Cable as a great partner for not only our organization but the Milwaukee area sports community as a whole.”
Time Warner Cable Stadium is scheduled to open for the WIAA Boys State Soccer Championship games October 28-30.
