Schwanke-Kasten launches jewelry concierge service

Finding the right gift for the holiday season can be made even more difficult by busy work schedules.

With that in mind, Tom Dixon, co-owner of Schwanke-Kasten Co Inc., wanted to make holiday shopping more convenient for businesspeople in downtown Milwaukee by bringing the store to them.

Schwanke-Kasten recently launched its Concierge Service, just in time for the holiday season.

“It was really a matter of convenience,” said Amy Braunschweig, store manager. “We realize the busy schedules of professionals today, and we wanted them to still have the opportunity to see what we have to offer.”

The service was launched in conjunction with the holiday gift giving season, but it will remain permanent, Braunschweig said.

Interested customers can call in, describe the kind of gift they are looking for and a selection of Rolex watches and designer jewelry can be brought to their office during the day, she said.

“We are open during business hours, so if they can’t make it to us on their lunch hour, we can bring a few key items to their location,” Braunschweig said.

Schwanke-Kasten recently re-opened its downtown Milwaukee location at 763 N. Broadway after moving its main store to Whitefish Bay almost 50 years ago. The store specializes in Rolex time pieces and luxury designer jewelry.
